In following the zoning regulations that were adopted in 2006, building permits are required prior to erecting, constructing or making structural changes for any building within Logan County.  Setbacks from roads and highways must also be met prior to erecting buildings or planting shelterbelts to prevent snow accumulation from roads and to allow for future widening of public rights-of-way.  Permits are available from the Logan County Auditor/Code Administrator.

Placement of fences and/or farming on road rights-of-way is not allowed.  No fence shall be placed within 33 feet from the center line of all regularly maintained county roads, nor within 75 feet from the center line of all regularly maintained farm to market roads within Logan County.

Logan County will furnish one approach per farmstead residence, or small culvert extension for farmstead residence approach when necessary for school bus safety.  No additional approaches or improvements to approaches will be provided by Logan County.
