2025 Fall Cost Share: North Dakota state law requires the control of noxious weeds. The Logan County Weed Board offers fall cost share towards any chemicals recommended in the current ND Weed Control Guide for control of leafy spurge, spotted knapweed, yellow toadflax, hounds tongue, wormwood*, or Canada thistle* at the rate of 80% for pasture and rangeland applications and 100% for roadside applications, not to exceed $24.00 per acre. No cost-share is available for labor, cropland, or CRP applications. Palmer Amaranth control is cost shared with a limit of $500 for manual labor (not chemical control). A calendar year maximum reimbursement of $5,000 per producer applies for all cost shares.
*Canada thistle and wormwood control is offered with a limit of $500.
Forms are available upon request in the office. Applications must be completed front and back, and returned with copies of the receipt(s)for chemical used and a FSA (or similar) map with sprayed areas highlighted. All documentation must be received in our office by Thursday, November 13, 2025. Incomplete or late applications/documentation may cause reimbursement to be delayed or denied at the discretion of the Logan County Weed Board.
